If ever there was a collection to epitomize the future warrior as a 2010 fashion trend, this is it. Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute Couture collection seized on the likes of Montezuma and the Aztecs for inspiration, before turning to more cyborg style warrior plating.
A running theme of palm leaves was cleverly integrated into various pieces; from dresses to clutches to headwear, some like splayed leaves and some woven in semi-traditional styles. Gaultier's collection also plays upon exotic feathers and stones, which were revered by the Ancient Aztecs.
Typically dramatic and wildly eclectic, Gaultier's collection is definitely worth a look. [source]
